“Mates in Harness”

“Mates in Harness” is a detailed area of a much larger painting “Melbourne by Moonlight 1875”. The carriage is an Omnibus of American design which carried about twenty people. They pre-dated the cable trams by a number of years. The tram system was built in 1886. The artist’s friend John Crawley and his son Adam modeled as the coach driver and passenger.

This is a re-mastered art edition, issued as one of 200 on conservation canvas. Each Image is printed individually, and to add further value and quality has been embellished by over painting on various areas by the Artist, to add texture and more vibrant colour.
